One of the most natural road sprinters I’ve ever seen.

David Wiswell is an accomplished professional road cyclist and track Six-Day specialist based in New York City. An athlete with an innate tactical savvy and well developed knowledge of bicycle racing, David brings years of experience in the European peloton, a strong history of international results, and a genuine commitment to excellence to prospective trade teams and event organizers.

David began his career on the track, representing the United States at the 2001 World Junior Track Cycling Championships in sprint cycling, ultimately medaling in collegiate, espoir, and elite track championships through 2003. While proving to be an accomplished track sprinter, David’s desire was to adapt his natural speed, budding aerobic power, mental toughness, and personal panache to the road and European Six- Day circuits.

Between 2004 and 2007, David transitioned to the road, racing throughout Europe and the United States while representing EC Mayenne (France), KIW (BEL), the USA National Team, NERAC Professional Cycling Team (USA), and CRCA/Sakonnet Technology (USA). This period saw him rack up a string of impressive results and showings at the UIV Cups, espoir Paris-Roubaix, the European amateur Six-Day circuit, and a number of high-profile U23 races in France. Throughout this period, David continued to pursue his education at the renowned Columbia University in New York City and founded his equipment leasing business, Echappe Equipment, in 2007.

A field sprint win at the GP Roger De Vlaeminck 2007 in Belgium earned him a position with the vaunted Yawadoo-ABM-TV Vlaanderen cycling team for 2008. After a strong early season showing with TV Vlaanderen, a lingering lung infection shortened what was otherwise the beginning of a breakthrough year.

After completing his English Literature degree at Columbia in May 2009, David set about reestablishing himself as a young, yet maturing, rider with serious finishing potential and a strong commitment to a team’s objectives and results. David is now exploring UCI trade team racing opportunities and international event invitations.
